Day 1 answer: Hạ Long Bay, Vietnam. The image was captured by the WorldView-3 satellite. WorldView-3 was launched on August 13th 2014 and was the first satellite capable of capturing 31 cm spatial resolution optical imagery. It orbits the earth every 97 minutes at an altitude of 617 km. In addition to the high spatial detail panchromatic spectral band, WorldView-3 is also capable of collecting multispectral imagery spanning visible, near-infrared and short-wave infrared.
