Day 27 answer: San Francisco, USA. The high spatial resolution optical satellite image was acquired by QuickBird. This oblique image was captured 42 degrees off nadir, looking just off due west. After 13 years of service the QuickBird satellite re-entered the Earth's atmosphere on January 27th 2015. During its lifespan it made more than 70,000 trips around the planet.
