CGG Satellite Mapping is playing a key role in an innovative new "Satellite for Batteries" study supported by the UK Space Agency that will develop advanced analytics to increase the identification of battery metals for mining companies.

Working as part of a consortium led by the Satellite Application Catapult, and involving Cornish Lithium, a mixture of Structural Geologists, Data Scientists and Developers at CGG Satellite Mapping will develop advanced mineral mapping and fault identification solutions that exploit the latest satellite imagery and elevation data.

The study is part of a £7 million UK Space Agency funding programme aimed at putting the UK at the forefront of the latest advances in space innovation.
